During the course of chapter one there were a few things that stood out the most to me. The first one was the section about google coming up with a new computer that cheaper, smaller, and has no hard drive. While reading about this it made me think that those would be easier than laptops, and most of the other devices to get in the classrooms. If there is no way for them to get viruses like a normal computer than they would also be easier to keep up and maintain. With this invention the ease of access to technology would seem to be a lot greater.
The second thing that I noticed was the greater emphasis on problem solving in the classroom. They say that will lead to a be more successful in the work force than would be to learn straight facts and numbers in class. This statement also went along with the video, he talked about a great need for problem solving in the work force. If we as future teachers begin to incorporate this strategy into our future classrooms, we would be making for more successful students. With the greater need for problem solving comes the idea that there needs to be more technology in them and a wider variety of it.
